Mom's Best-Ever Chili |
Hola Amigo! There's no need to go south of the border for a great chili. This quick and easy, Best-Ever Chili recipe is sure to please even the toughest hombres. Serve with Tea Biscuits or Corn Bread for a hearty meal. |

Ingredients |

- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 2 16 ounce cans red kidney beans
- 2 15 1/2 ounce cans chopped tomatoes
- 1 6 ounce can tomato paste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- Knives
- Measuring spoons
- Measuring cup
- Large sauce pan with lid

Best-Ever Chili |
In a large pan add ground beef, onion, green pepper, and celery. Cook mixture until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Stir to break up any meat chunks that may form. Drain kidney beans preserving liquid. Add kidney beans and remaining ingredients to beef and vegetable mixture. Cover and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. If you wish stir in some of the preserved, bean liquid to make desired consistency. Serve.
