Mom's Sesame Green Beans |
| My family used to hate green beans, but when I started making Sesame Green Beans, they became big fans. Serve with nearly any main dinner course. Sesame Green Beans go great with Canadian Pork Chops. |

Ingredients |

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 1 1/2 pounds green beans, trimmed
- 3 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- Measuring cups and measuring spoons
- Large skillet
- Knives

Mom's Sesame Green Beans |
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil and tilt pan to coat. Stir in garlic; cook 30 seconds. Add green beans and sauté, about 2 minutes. Pour soy sauce along with 1/4 cup water. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Reduce heat to medium and cover pan. Cook for 8 – 10 minutes, shaking pan occasionally. Uncover, and stir beans to coat. Serve warm. Serves 6.

| For more of a sesame flavour, add another teaspoon of sesame seeds to the green beans. |
