Mom's Onion-Cheese Puffs |
| This low fat appetizer recipe is a perfect nibble for those Sunday game days. Quick and easy to make, Onion-Cheese Puffs are scrumptious and highly addictive. |

Ingredients |

- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup margarine or butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese (3 ounces)
- 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
- Measuring cups and measuring spoons
- Knives
- Cookie sheet
- 2-quart saucepan

Onion-Cheese Puffs |
Heat oven to 400º F. Grease cookie sheet lightly. Heat water and margarine to rolling boil in 2-quart saucepan. Stir in flour, salt, and garlic powder. Stir vigorously over low heat about 1 minute or until mixture forms a ball; remove from heat. Beat in eggs, all at once, until smooth. Stir in cheese and onion.
Drop dough by scant teaspoonfuls about 1 inch apart onto cookie sheet. Bake 20 – 25 minutes or until puffed and golden. Serve warm. About 6 dozen puffs.
